Music at St. Mark’s

Come Sing With Us!

We have choirs for children and adults:

The Adult Choir is a lively, dedicated group from a wide range of musical backgrounds, united by our love of singing and community for ages youth and up. We rehearse Wednesdays from 7:00 to 8:30 PM during the school year. No auditions required, and everyone is welcome!

The Choristers are a group of children who love to sing, learn about music, and have fun together. Through singing, playful games, and creative activities, they develop musical skills, deepen their faith, and build lasting friendships with our church family. All children in grades K and up are welcome to join us on Wednesdays from 6:00 to 6:45 PM during the school year.

Mark Reed is our Organist and Director of Music. He directs the choirs, plays the organ and piano, plans the choral and congregational music for services, and prepares and prints the bulletins.

Mason Asberry is our Assistant Choir Director. He assists with directing the choirs and planning music and helps to keep all aspects of the Music Ministry running smoothly. He is also a choir section leader and a frequent soloist in worship.

If you’re interested in joining our music ministry, send an email to Mark or stop by the Choir Loft after church on Sunday!

Our Music Ministry is supported in part by the Eric Panter Memorial Fund for Music, established in loving memory of Eric Panter (1986–2022). Eric was a beloved choir section leader, youth minister, and devoted member of our church family. You can help sustain his legacy and our ministry by clicking here, and selecting the option for the Eric Panter Memorial Fund for Music.

We welcome the vocal and instrumental talents of everyone!

If you’re interested in participating, or if you would like to be kept up-to-date on the latest music events and programs, contact Mark by email.
