Sunday Schedule & Service Descriptions

7:45 a.m. Holy Eucharist, Rite I

The 7:45 service is a spoken Eucharist (no music); it is brief and contemplative.

9:00 a.m. Holy Eucharist, Rite II

The 9:00 a.m. service includes congregational singing, led by a Cantor, accompanied by piano and organ. This service intends to be accessible to all, with the entire liturgy printed in a bulletin, including easy-to-sing music chosen from all parts of the Christian tradition, and ample opportunities for youth and children to be involved as leaders in worship. Children ages 4-7 (mature 3-year olds welcome at parents discretion) are dismissed for Children’s Chapel early on in the service, and then welcomed back before Communion. This service lasts about an hour.

11:00 a.m. Holy Eucharist, Rite II

The 11:00 a.m. service is a sung Eucharist, with a full choir and chanted prayers. It is a traditional Episcopal service that invites worshippers to follow along according to printed page numbers within The Book of Common Prayer (1979) and Anglican hymnody from The Hymnal (1982). Children’s Chapel is also offered for ages 4-7 (mature 3-year olds welcome at their parents discretion) at this service. They are dismissed early on in the service and are then welcomed back before Communion. This service usually lasts about an hour and fifteen minutes.

Nursery care is offered every Sunday from 8:45 a.m. – 12:15 p.m. (Sept. - May) for crawling babies through three-year olds. Our childcare providers must undergo a strict and comprehensive Safeguarding God’s Children training (which includes a background check), administered by the Episcopal Diocese of Texas in order to work with our children.

10:00 a.m. Sunday School & Family Taco Hour

Free(!) breakfast tacos and coffee are served for all every Sunday at 10 a.m. (Sept. - May), either on the Deck (if it’s nice outside) or in the Parish Hall (if it’s not). Family Taco Hour includes the opportunity to sign-in children for supervised play time on our amazing playground, organized by our Safeguarded adult volunteers. Look for the sign in sheet near the tacos.

Christian Formation Classes are offered for adults throughout the program year (Sept.-May). Classes meet in Grace Chapel and the Bennett Classroom. You’re welcome to bring your tacos and coffee along. For current and upcoming classes, visit our events page.
